How do I start making my own soap?

I am interested in making natural soaps with no chemicals. Something like Chagrin Valley. Any recommendations? In the near future, I will like to have my own natural living shop.

Definitely make it for yourself! Natural soap is so good for you. As far as opening a shop and all that, there are SO many soapmakers out there that quite honestly, you may face a challenge with making it a business. However, definitely make it for yourself if nothing else. millersoap.com is a good place to start. If you can find business with it, kudos! However, so many soapmakers have jumped into this business that it's too competitive and sadly, I have seen a lot of people lose large amounts of money because they overspent and could not sell the soap. Just remember to spend wisely and not get a lot of stuff til you know what your market is like.
